Best of the year if not of the decade for me.
One of the wildest movies I have seen. I was hesitant after watching the trailers because it didnt seem too interesting but it is 100% worth seeing.
Its interesting to see the guy who play the son speaking English I mean I know he grew up in Canada or something, but its the fact his voice sounds young in English.
This movie is so amazing, getting more impressed and into other korean films.

Everyone should watch “Snow piercer” a korean film thats also amazing I think it was made by the same director as Parasite. During the entire movie, only one single train comes out but the director really made it awesome. This movie is also about poverty-wealthy. cause there are different classes in the train,and its so different. The poor people in the last section of the train goes through every class and as the class gets higher and higher, the people in the class are richer.

I swear I falling love with park so dam. She really bring her character so well. I love when she be Jessica, it’s really elegant plus arrogant. Unlike ki jung a bad girl. Love it.
Fun fact about the movie: the scene where the son was teaching the father how to act is hilarious to South Koreans because the actor playing the father (Kang-Ho Song) is a veteran thats renown in Korean cinema, while the son (Choi Woo-shik) is just a newcomer. Bong Joon-ho describes it as “imagine if Ansel Elgort is teaching acting to Al Pacino”.
Here’s an idea. Instead of talking about the 1% of negative comments, let’s talk about how amazing this movie was and how much of a genius Bong Joon ho is.
Interesting to see how Woo-sik constantly refers to himself as Ki-woo as I. Shows how into his character he is in this film.

I love how he talks as if he’s still in character. That is so engaging! You see actors usually talking about the character as a distant reality when discussing the movie, this is so fresh.
Sensational cinematography. Probably would have won any other year if it wasnt for the genius of Roger Deakins. Parasite probably has the best examples of use of the Birdseye shot in recent memory. Employed to perfection throughout.

Could you do The Beauty of The Handmaiden.
I got mad that this got best picture instead of 1917, but I figured it would be unfair to be mad about it without watching this one, so it better be better then 1917 lol. I’ll update you’s on the verdict once i’ve watched it. edit: BROOOO I just heard the old housekeeper ring the doorbell my heart rate went to 50,000 bpm. I’m loving this movie so far. edit: ive just finished watching it and I can definitely see why it won best picture. 1917 had better cinematography obviously, but for the storytelling part, this movie hands down is probably one of the best movies ever made. I wish I could rewind my life to watch it again without knowing what’s gonna happen.
The scene that made a big impact on me was. spoiler: When the house of the Kim family drowned with wastewater and the sister is sitting in the toilet while it explodes. Couldnt sleep well that night.

A trailer that i cannot be expected the next things. I cannot tell who is who, what happens and what’s the story about. The curiosity is the reason why people want to watch a movie, and Bong Joon Ho just did that.

Lol my fav scene is the jessica only chlid illinois chicago. it’s just so amazing.
Bong Joon Ho underlining the word “pretend” saying that its a crucial word reminded me when dahye (rich daughter) said that her brother is pretending to be an artist and then jiwoo (poor boy) tells her to write in English using the word “pretend” twice. And by that time, only 2 of the family members were “pretending” to be someone theyre not.

The slow motion, the editing, the cinematography and most of all THE MUSIC. everything is perfect! I cant stop watching this scene. So much deserved all the awards won at the Oscars. One of the best movies Ive ever seen! My compliments from Italy!🇮🇹.

Written and Directed by Bong Joon-Ho, Parasite evolves into something so gripping and unusual. While this would be seen as a thriller by many, it’s also a dark comedy. This can often a very difficult thing to pull of, as too many tones can often leave an audience confused and disengaged. It also plays to audience’s expectations only to then completely subvert them when you think you know whats going to happen. Parasite executes this all of these elements amazingly through Bong Joon-Ho’s incredible direction and writing. Dialogue has depth and sounds organic. The themes that Parasite explores really hit home by the end of the movie and takes us to some unexpectedly emotional resolutions of character arcs. The cast which consists of Woo-sik Choi, Hye-jin Jang, So-dam Park and long term collaborator Kang-ho Sang, are all at the top of their game here, with an especially phenomenal performance by Kang-ho Sang. Cinematographer Kyung-pyo Hung returns with might be his best work yet. The sound design is great and the score fits perfectly and helps add to the tension of the movie.
All of these elements combine to make an incredibly satisfying movie, while also being highly re-watchable. When introducing someone to foreign language movie, this would be one the first i’d recommend.
